Board Governance

Good board governance is less a burden than it is an opportunity for creating a competitive advantage. Intelligently structured boards provide an important element of accountability for management and protection for shareholders. Not since Sarbanes Oxley has the need for sound governance, risk and compliance (GRC) practices been as important as they are now. Perhaps nothing more than the risk of cyber intrusion and breach of client records illustrates the importance of sound policies and procedures with follow-on processes for mitigating risk when possible and limiting liability.
